We want to wish you all a very warm (if virtual) welcome to Whitleigh Primary School. Choosing the right school for your child is a really important decision. Usually at this time of year we welcome prospective families the opportunity to visit our school during a typical school day so you can see first hand what we at Whitleigh Primary School can offer your child as they embark on their school learning journey. This year we need to do things differently to ensure that we keep everyone safe. We have some different options for you so that you can still discover Whitleigh Primary School.
As we are unable to offer visits into school this year we have filmed a brand new tour of our Reception classes learning environments.
We are also offering virtual appointments via Zoom or telephone, where you will be able to meet Mrs Kelleher our Early Years Leader. Please contact the school on 01752 706383 to request a telephone or Zoom appointment to discuss what Whitleigh Primary School has to offer.
Also, rest assured that we have a robust transition in place so children will have plenty of opportunities to get to know our school before they start school.
For the children who joined our school this year in September we put a creative virtual transition plan in place. As visits into school were not possible we launched a brand new virtual activities project with 8 different learning sessions for children to join in with at home. The sessions gave children the chance to regularly see the Foundation Stage Team and become familiar with school before they started, as well as having some fun along the way. See the videos below of our sessions and our Welcome to Foundation Stage Information video for parents for the September 2020 cohort of children.

You can also find further information about our approach and curriculum on the 'Curriculum' section of our school website.
To apply for a place in one of our Reception classes here at Whitleigh Primary School in September 2021 you should apply from 2nd November 2020 and before 15th January 2021. Online applications can be made here.
Meanwhile, stay safe and we hope to hear from you soon.
